Keppel Club is one of the oldest clubs in Singapore, founded in November 1904. In 1996, due to a chronic shortage of caddies, it became the first (and currently only) club in Singapore to install a Monorail Cart System. The monocart is an unmanned golf bag conveyor that runs along a rail installed along the golf course and carries up to a maximum of four bags per cart.
As for the course, accuracy here rewards the golfer, rather than distance as OBs can be found on almost all the holes. The terrain of the first nine is flat relative to the second nine which is hilly and undulating. Should your ball stray into the bushes or ravines, it is advisable to avoid searching for it to enthusiastically as snakes have been sighted on a number of occasions.
As this course is the nearest to the Central Business District (less than 10 minutes away depending on traffic), you can manage to squeeze in nine holes before proceeding home after a hard day's work.
