The Tanjong Course The Tanjong Course, designed by Frank Pennick opened in 1972. In 1993, S$40 million was spent to remodel the course and build the new Clubhouse. Golf Course Designer, Max Wexier, and Course Architect, Chris Pitman, took advantage of the diverse landscape when redesigning this challenging course. Designed for championship play from the Blue Tees (over 6,240 meters) this is a par-72 course. The Tanjong course is challenging with spectacular holes that have gullies and many water hazards to negotiate. A round at the Tanjong Course is a beautiful nature walk through a tropical oasis with many flowers, palm trees, lotus-blossom ponds and odd iguana or other exotic animals. Many of the holes offer breadthtaking panoramas of the South China Sea.
The Serapong Course Opened in 1982, the Serapong Course was designed by the Ronald Fream Design Group with the Singapore Harbour providing a dramatic backdrop for this challenging course. The Serapong Course is par-72 and measures 6,493 meters from the championship tees. The Course was the venue for the World Qualifying Round of the Dunhill Cup in 1988. The fairways are lined with dense jungle and the large, well contoured greens are dotted with formidable water hazards and large, strategically placed bunkers. Once the site of an old mangrove swamp, relics of bygone days before the golf course existed can be seen in the form of old military fortifications.
