Considered one of the premier club's in Singapore, TMCC offers members a host of first class amenities and services spread over two locations and has hosted many international tournaments.
Located at the southern end of Changi Airport runway, Tanah Merah has two 18-hole golf courses that have become popular venues for golf tournaments including the recent Johnnie Walker Classic and the Singapore Junior Amateur Open Golf Championship.
The par 72 Garden Course is described as a horticultural extravaganza. Each hole is planted with a different type of tree with flowerbeds, shrubs and rockeries on gently contoured fairways. Some holes demand hitting power against crosswinds while certain holes require restraint and accuracy due to tight fairways, deep bunkers and steeply sloping greens.
The newer Tampines course has over 100 varieties of shrubs and tropical palms, giving it colour and charm. The central feature is an enormous interlinking lake system that winds through much of the second nine.
Both courses, designed by Max Wexler, are usually in pristine condition although much of the bermuda fairways have given in to cow grass. Buggies are compulsory on the Tampines course, while the Garden course offers either caddies or trolleys.
