Considered the 'guru' of golf analysis and coaching
in the Asia Pacific, Alan Murray is also the 'founding father' of
professional golf in the region.
He began his career in Sydney, Australia, as an assistant
professional at Killara Golf Club. During his term there, he was
fortunate to have the opportunity to acquire much valued tuition
and guidance from Australia's greatest players, including Peter
Thomson, Kel Nagle, Norman Von Nida and Eric Cremin.
Alan Murray has played in every major PGA tournament
in Australia and competed in most international PGA tournaments,
including the British Open and 1967 World Cup. He has won no less
than 60 professional golf tournaments during his illustrious career
on the PGA International circuit.

This includes the 1962 French Open,
1961 Australian PGA Championship and the 1967 Australian Wills Masters
to name a few. In winning these events he beat some of the legends
of golf, including Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and
Peter Thomson.
Alan played the Asian Circuit during the 1960's and
relocated to Singapore in 1972 to take up a prestigious coaching
position at the renowned Singapore Island Country Club & was
head professional at SICC until 1980. During this period Alan won
the Rolex Masters three times and structured the Singapore Professional
Golfers Association & Alan is to this day the only person to
receive 'Life Membership' Status.
Alan was recently made a Life Member of the PGA of
Australia. Alan has coached many of the finest players on the tour
today as well as the National Teams of New Zealand, Singapore and
Malaysia.
As Former National Coach of Malaysia, Alan was responsible
for coaching many of Malaysia's leading touring professionals including
Danny Chia, Rashid Ismail, P. Gunasagaran, S. Murthy, V. Arumugam,
Mohd Johari, Rahizam Ramli, Wong Hong Nung, R. Nachimuthu &
Victor Lim.

As a youngster in Australia, Garry Overy was considered
one of the brightest prospects in Australian Amateur Golf with many
tournament victories to his credit. He ASTled in school sport,
particularly golf, and later became the assistant golf professional
at the prestigious Royal Canberra Golf Club.
Garry went onto to win many amateur tournaments
from 1968 as well as representing N.S.W. at state level before
turning professional in 1973. During his time at Royal Canberra,
Garry had the opportunity of gaining some valuable tuition and
guidance from 5 times British Open Champion, Peter Thomson, and
fellow Australian great & British Open Champion, Kel Nagle.
He later joined the PGA circuits in Australia and
New Zealand. After 3 successful years on the circuit, he was offered
a very lucrative position as Head Professional at the Kogarah Golf
Club, a position he held for five years. On leaving Kogarah Golf
Club, Garry moved to the far south coast of N.S.W. to take on the
position of Head Professional at Eden Country Club. During his stay
at Eden Country Club he also became involved in coaching the N.S.W.
Junior Team.

Garry left Eden some nine years latter and his
exceptional knowledge of the golf swing and the science of golf
warranted him venturing to Singapore and teaming up with his long
time friend, Alan Murray, to coach the Malaysian National Team.
Garry & Alan then went onto establish 'Champions
Golf Academy Pte. Ltd' in Singapore after recognising the need for
such a facility within the region to provide an international standard
of learning and also better understanding of the golf swing in general.
Hytek Gloves International Pte. Ltd. was formed in Singapore early
in 1999 by the directors of Champions Golf Academy. An overall ten
year plan was drawn up to promote and sell Hytek & Unifeel golf
gloves initially in the U.S.A., Singapore and eventually worldwide.
Garry recently was appointed the Head Professional
at the prestigious Dubai Country Club in the United Arab Emirates.
As well as coaching golf his other duties will be to appoint staff
and oversee these operations.
Garry assisted Alan as Co National Coach of Malaysia,
and was responsible for also coaching many of Malaysia's leading
touring professionals including Danny Chia, Rashid Ismail, S. Murthy,
V. Arumugam, Mohd Johari, Rahizam Ramli & R. Nachimuthu.

The Asian PGA & Palm Resort Golf Academy are fortunate to have
Australian Professional Kel Llewellyn as Director of Player Development&
Head Professional to conduct their outstanding golf programs for
all golfers including many of the leading tour players in Asia.
For the majority of his long golf coaching career,
Kel has been on 'the journey less travelled' in his passionate
quest for more knowledge to perfect his coaching and training
expertise in this most elusive of all games.
From his hometown of Geelong, in Australia, Kel's
golfing odyssey has taken him from the far reaches of the United
States to the United Kingdom, India, Europe, S.E. Asia and Australia
/ New Zealand.
He is now known as 'The True Guru of Golf' being
the main coach and trainer of present Indian Professional Champions
Daniel Chopra and Jyoti Randhawa and a host of other
rising stars. At various times he has been National Coach and Trainer
for India, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia & Bhutan

Kel travelled far and wide to consult with 20th century legends
including Peter Thomson, Kel Nagle, Eric Cremin, Tommy Bolt, Jackie
Burke Jr, Jimmy Demaret and short game wizard Paul Runyan, all helping
immensely to enlarge his philosophy to merge with his own experiences
of coaching and playing the game. Kel's philosophy goes far deeper
than just the coaching aspect of instilling his technical knowledge
into golfers.
He is the BEST Trainer of Golfers from Juniors, beginners
of all ages, golfers who have been playing for some time and budding
champions. This training covers a very wide area including physical,
mental and emotional. His ultimate goal is for golfers to be able
to teach themselves!He may well be the first Golf Professional in
the world to introduce yoga to golf programs as a means of improving
golfers' mental, physical and emotional wellness, having studied
yoga and reiki for the past 22 years.
Kel has been a Golf Professional for over 40 years
and an insight into his optimism and enthusiasm for coaching and
training golfers, for he has no greater passion than building
champions, can be gained when he says - "I've got a lot to
achieve in my life over the next 50 years!" Hopefully Kel
