Present and past members of any recognised PGA and or Tour are NOT required to under go qualifying school and are automatically entitled to join the AST provided they are at least 50 years old

AST membership and fees for the 2025 / 2026 season

NEW MEMBER - US$ 790 - comprises

- 1 time joining fee - US$ 395

- membership fees expiring end Dec 2025 - US$ 395

AST Q School is open to male golfers who are 48 years of age or older. Successful candidates who having qualified, and paid to join the AST can play in AST events as members for prize money once they have attained 50 years of age prior to and or by the 1st day of the professional event. Members who are under 50 years of age may play as amateur golfers for the prize pool and also enjoy the discounted member’s play & stay packages.

ASEAN PGA Q School is open to is open to male and female golfers of any age. Successful candidates who having qualified, and paid to join the ASEAN PGA can play in ASEAN PGA events as members for prize money. ASEAN PGA members may play as amateur golfers for the prize pool and also enjoy the discounted member’s play & stay packages at all ASM events. 

To pass Q School and become eligible for membership of the AST and or ASEAN PGA, candidates will need to return a 2 day score (2 cards) which total no more than 15 over par during the 36 hole Q School. 

Golfers wishing to join the AST and or ASEAN PGA, play as members for prize money but also wish to retain their AMATEUR STATUS can do so and will be eligible to play in AST and ASEAN PGA events under the auspice of their Asian Amateur Golfer (AAG) and ASEAN Amateur credentials.

In the unfortunate event that a Q School candidate might fail to return the required score, they may arrange to stay on and enroll as a PRO Qualifier and re-take Q School during the ASM tournament which are staged immediately after the Q School. 

Insurance - all golfers, their travelling companion(s) and or their caddie are advised and required to ensure that they have made arrangements to have their own valid personal travel, COVID and medical insurance in place. 

Please note your passport MUST still be valid for at least 6 more months from the date of your arrival and it is advisable for you to also ensure that you have at least 1 clear unused page for VISA stamps!!

Present and past members of any recognised PGA and or Tour are NOT required to under go qualifying school 

Non-Member of the AST - Country Exemption (CE) Status

CE status applies only to Nationals, Legal Residents and members of the PGA of the host county, senior professional golfers who have reached 50 years of age prior to the 1st day of an ASM event can apply and if approved enter and play under CE status.

Please note that it will normally cost a non-member between US$ 150 and US$ 300 extra to register and play in an ASM event depending upon the prize money on offer, so it does make sense to join the AST

ALL participating PROs and AMATEUR golfers are entitled to enjoy a discount off the full cost of their tournament entry fees, in the form of last place prize money which is typically US$ 250 and is deducted from the full cost of their entry fees at registration.
