AST and ASEAN PGA Qualifying School

PROFESSIONALS - male golfers who have or will turn 50 years of age and currently are or have been a member of recognised PGA and or Tour are NOT required to undergo Qualifying School and may simply apply to join the AST.

AMATEURS - are required to undergo Qualifying School to become eligible for membership of the AST, the Asian Seniors PGA Tour and the ASEAN PGA.

Asian Seniors Tour Q School - is open to male golfers who are at least 48 years of age, where successful candidates will need to have returned a 2 day score (2 cards) which total no more than 15 over par during the Q School and or the PRO Qualifier staged during all Asian Senior Masters (ASM) and ASEAN PGA events.

Successful male candidates who have yet to attain the age of 50 but have paid to join the AST will be eligible to play in ASM events as amateur golfers enjoying the discounted / subsidised AST member's entry fees and Play & Stay packages offered. On turning 50 they will become eligible to play for prize money in ASM and ASEAN PGA senior events.

ASEAN PGA Q School - is open to golfers of both genders and of any age, where successful candidates will need to have returned a 2 day score (2 cards) which total no more than 15 over par during the Q School and or the PRO Qualifier staged during all ASM and ASEAN PGA events.

Successful candidates who have paid to join the ASEAN PGA will be eligible to play for prize money in events to be staged by the ASEAN PGA and enjoy the discounted / subsidised member's entry fees and Play & Stay packages offered.

AMATEUR STATUS - gofers wishing to retain their AMATEUR STATUS can do so and will still be eligible to play in AST and ASEAN PGA events under the auspice of their Asian Amateur Golfer (AAG) and ASEAN Amateur credentials, entitled to the discounted and subsidised member's entry fees and Play & Stay packages offered to our participating professional members.

Q Schools are usually staged prior to ASM tournaments and in the unfortunate event that a candidate might fail to return the required score during Q School, the candidate may re-take Q School (playing as an amateur) during the PRO Qualifier events that are staged during all ASM professional tournaments, offering amateur golfers a 2nd chance to qualify as well as the opportunity to compete alongside and head to head against some of the region's leading amateur golfers and participating professionals.

Current members of a recognised PGA and or Tour are NOT required to under-go the AST qualifying school
