How to join the AST:

PROFESSIONALS - male golfers who have or will turn 50 years of age and currently are or have been a member of recognised PGA and or Tour are NOT required to undergo Qualifying School and may simply apply to join the AST.

AMATEURS - male golfers who are currently 49 years of age and or who have turned 50 who wish to join the AST are required to undergo the AST Qualifying School. 

Successful candidates can elect to turn professional and play on the AST, and or still retain their AMATEUR status.
